Record-Breaking Success! Best Month in the History of Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport
Rzeszów-Jasionka Ulma Family Airport served over 138,000 passengers in August. This represents a 13% increase in passenger traffic compared to the same month last year, when the airport handled just under 122,000 travelers. Once again, summer charter flights were the biggest contributor, with 61,000 passengers. Since the beginning of the year, Rzeszów Airport has welcomed over 760,000 passengers—75,000 more than in the “million-passenger” year of 2023.
"Such outstanding results inspire us to further expand our range of attractive routes in the upcoming seasons. I would like to emphasize that the exceptional performance of the summer season continues into September, offering many 'sunny' destinations—perfect for students and parents with preschool-aged children, for whom this is an ideal time for a vacation" - said Adam Hamryszczak, President of the Jasionka airport.
In August, charter flights to Albania, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Egypt, Greece, Spain, Tunisia, and Turkey accounted for 44% of the passengers departing from Jasionka. Following these were flights by Ireland's Ryanair (routes to Zadar in Croatia, Alicante in Spain, Dublin in Ireland, as well as London, Manchester, Bristol, and East Midlands in the UK, making up 23% of all passengers), LOT Polish Airlines (17% on routes to the USA, Warsaw, and Gdańsk), Lufthansa (7% to Munich), and Wizz Air (3% to Rome).

Additionally, the Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air launched a route to Milan this Tuesday, and starting October 28, Ryanair will also begin flights to Milan’s Malpensa Airport, situated in the heart of Italy’s fashion capital. Another exciting addition this winter is a route to Riga, operated twice weekly by Latvia's Air Baltic, which will serve as an excellent transfer hub for travelers heading to Northern Europe and the Baltic states.
Antalya, Warsaw, London, Munich, and Heraklion continue to be the most frequented destinations for residents of the Podkarpackie region and neighboring areas.
September continues to be an excellent time for vacations, and from Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport, travelers can still book charter flights to nearly all previously mentioned destinations. Low-cost carriers also offer regular routes to Alicante, Zadar, Dublin, and the UK (Ryanair), as well as to Rome and Milan (Wizz Air). LOT still operates a route to Newark (USA), with flights to Warsaw available five days a week, including four flights on weekends, while Lufthansa offers flights to Munich twice daily.
