Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport presents a new route: Fly to Riga with Air Baltic!
Starting October 28, 2024, Latvia’s national airline, Air Baltic, will launch flights from Jasionka Airport to Riga. The Airbus A220-300 flights will run twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays. Tickets for the 90-minute one-way flight are already available.
"We’re excited about Air Baltic’s decision to launch a direct route between Riga and Rzeszów. For residents in the region, this is a new destination, and the flights on Fridays and Mondays make it perfect for a weekend city break" - says Adam Hamryszczak, President of the Rzeszów-Jasionka Ulm Family Airport.
For Jasionka, Riga is a brand-new destination, and Air Baltic, debuting in the Subcarpathian region, will become the fifth regular airline here, joining Polish Airlines LOT, Germany’s Lufthansa, Ireland’s Ryanair, and Hungary’s Wizz Air. Flights from Jasionka to Riga will operate twice a week—Mondays and Fridays—starting October 28, 2024, departing Riga at 1:00 p.m. and Rzeszów at 2:20 p.m. Tickets, including business class, are now available on airBaltic.com.
"This is an important day for Air Baltic. Not only are we expanding our presence in Poland, but we’re also making a first step toward helping our neighbors in Ukraine safely reach the rest of Europe" - adds Thomas Ramdahl, Senior Vice President of Network Management at Air Baltic. He also highlights that Riga offers convenient connections to all the capitals of Northern and Baltic countries.
The Latvian airline already operates flights from Kraków, Gdańsk, and Warsaw. In total, Air Baltic serves over 130 routes from Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius, Tampere, and seasonally from Gran Canaria, offering flights to many destinations in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Caucasus. Air Baltic is a leading airline in the Baltic states and one of Europe’s fastest-growing carriers, with one of the youngest fleets in Europe, consisting of 48 Airbus A220-300 aircraft.
