A remarkable summer record at Jasionka. 12 charter destinations planned for summer 2023
More than 114,000 passengers used the holiday routes offered by the Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport, 47 per cent more than in the record-breaking 2018. Among the 13 charter destinations and summer seasonal routes, Turkey's Antalya was the most popular.
- Our plan was to be the most popular airport in eastern Poland during the holidays. We made it and we believe that this result will steadily increase in the coming years - says Adam Hamryszczak, CEO of the airport near Rzeszów.
Holiday charter flights to Turkey, Greece, Bulgaria and Albania carried a total of 95.5 thousand passengers. 19 thousand travellers on regular flights (to Bulgaria, Croatia and Italy, and on domestic routes to Gdańsk and Olsztyn) set a record high. Tourists most often chose flights to Turkey: 43% of all travellers chose this destination.
- The holiday season in Turkey lasts basically all year round, as it is also a great place for skiers. And good weather is guaranteed from April to October - says Paweł Dowgier, Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Kraków. The guest of the conference drew attention to less popular Turkish destinations and dishes. - It’s a country that is interesting and pleasant for tourists, and above all safe. I particularly like Istanbul, which is a bridge between two continents and a meeting point of cultures and religions - he adds.
