Ryanair Announces Summer Schedule and Airport Confirms Readiness for a Base

Ryanair has announced eight destinations for summer 2024, including a new route to Alicante, during a meeting at Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport. The airport management has also confirmed its readiness to establish a base for the Irish carrier in Jasionka.

“Ryanair has been a leading and reliable carrier for our airport for years, currently accounting for one-third of all passenger traffic. That’s nearly 340,000 passengers handled in 2023 out of a record-breaking one million, and we believe this number will grow with the Irish carrier’s expanding offer. We are pleased with the new route to Alicante, the continuation of the seasonal route to Zadar, and the maintenance of other routes, which continue to show excellent occupancy rates,” said Bartosz Górski, Vice President of Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport.

The eight destinations available this summer from Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport will include sunny destinations such as Alicante and Zadar, as well as popular city break destinations, including Dublin, Manchester, and London, where you can fly on Friday and return on Sunday.

“As Rzeszów’s number one airline, we are pleased to announce an extremely rich flight schedule with a new route to sunny Alicante. We observe a steady increase in interest in our routes to and from Jasionka, leading us to expand our offer to a total of eight routes. Additionally, in celebration of Valentine’s Day today, we want to show our love for passengers by launching a special promotion available online at ryanair.com/pl until midnight on February 14,” added Alicja Wójcik-Gołębiowska, Director of Communications and Marketing for Central and Eastern Europe and the Baltic region at Ryanair.

Starting from March 31, the Irish low-cost carrier will operate 21 weekly flights from Jasionka – six times to London Stansted, three times to London Luton, and twice each to Alicante (Spain), Zadar (Croatia), Dublin (Ireland), and Manchester, East Midlands, and Bristol (United Kingdom).

In addition to Ryanair’s promotion (14 percent off flights to and from Rzeszów from February to May), the airport announced a contest on its social media, with prizes including flight tickets and airport gadgets.

An important declaration was also made during the meeting. “We share common ambitions for more routes and flight frequencies. We are ready to establish a Ryanair base in Jasionka, which would be a tremendous opportunity for the airport’s dynamic development and provide the residents of Podkarpacie region and surrounding areas with a significantly richer offer of regular and seasonal routes,” summarized Adam Hamryszczak, President of Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport.

Since October 2005, Ryanair has been serving passengers from the Rzeszów airport, catering to almost 5.5 million travelers during that time.
